The Maori Rock Carvings are located in Mine Bay on Lake Taupo and stand an impressive 14 metres high. While the carvings look like they have been in place for centuries they were in fact carved in the 70s by Matahi Whakataka-Brightwell.
INFLITE team member Cushla Clark was fortunate to be invited to a blessing at the site in support of a film made on the history and story of the Maori Rock Carvings. The blessing was a very special morning and we invite you to watch the short film and learn more about these impressive carvings.
INFLITE Experiences Taupo provide scenic flights to the Maori Rock Carvings and also include the rush of a flight over the Huka Falls.
Get a new perspective on these famous sights of Taupo and take a heli-tour.
