Ski The Tasman - $999 - Welcome to INFLITE

This incredible day combines the breathtaking views of the Southern Alps and Aoraki/Mt Cook National Park, with the once-in-a-lifetime experience of actually skiing on the famous Tasman Glacier, New Zealand’s longest glacier. Our trips are open for skiers and boarders, and side adventures include visits to the ice caves and natural ice features during the ski down. The ski runs are wide and long (8-10kms per run!), similar to blue runs, and perfect for a family adventure and introduction to the backcountry. Minimum age of 10yrs required for children. Flight transfers, ski guides, and safety equipment are all included in our trips. Lunches and ski gear can be ordered at additional cost in advance with us prior to your ski date. FLIGHT DETAILS:

This experience uses a ski plane or helicopter and offers a return trip from the Aoraki Mt Cook Airport. Two ski run experiences are included. We are the only company operating ski planes in NZ and we are proudly celebrating over 65 years of aviation. Our planes have retractable skis on the aircraft, enabling them to land and take off from the snow and runways here! A unique and special experience. The flight path takes you over the Tasman braided rivers that feed from the Tasman Terminal Lake, past mighty Aoraki, and following the Tasman Glacier, for you to land for your glacier skiing experience. As always, adventure activities are subject to weather conditions, if weather conditions are not suitable for the Ski Plane we will utilise our helicopters for your epic experience.

The ski terrain is moderate (blue runs) and the pace is relaxed. It is personalised to the needs of the group. This is a great INTRODUCTION TO BACKCOUNTRY SKIING with family and friends.

With two ski runs included in the Ski The Tasman package, Mount Cook Ski Planes and Helicopters will fly the ski party into the top of the Tasman Glacier, starting from a different landing site and taking a different run for each of the two runs.
